Being out of work in an abysmal job market was not an option for this entrepreneur: Dennis O’Connor launches Superior Waste & Recycling
Worcester, MA, August 4, 2009 --- In response to a dismal job market Dennis O’Connor recently launched Superior Waste & Recycling. The waste removal and recycling business is located at 2 Kansas Street, Worcester, MA. A commercial and residential enterprise, its services include: waste removal and disposal, basement and construction clean outs, electronic waste pickups, rolloffs, dumpsters, and customized recycling programs.
O’Connor lost a professional position in a large waste removal company in January when his previous employer downsized. Facing a bleak job market and with a family and a home to support he decided that he had the expertise to go it alone. Rising to the challenge and capitalizing on his long-time management expertise in the waste management industry, he decided to open his own business.
According to Dennis, “I felt that I had everything I needed to succeed, I previously owned a trash business and through the years I’ve accumulated an extensive track record in the industry in sales and management.” In an initial start-up move, he purchased and consolidated two established concerns, Anthony’s Rubbish Removal, of Millbury, and Talking Trash Removal, of Auburn, and formed Superior Waste & Recycling. “During my research over the last few months people told me that they want a personal relationship and they do not want to be ‘nickled and dimed’ to death by their trash haulers. Superior Waste and Recycling is committed to delivering lower prices, and timely and personal service,” he further stated.
O’Connor, who graduated from Assumption College, lives in Worcester with his wife and four children.
